I was pumping gas the other day when the Lord led me to
check my oil level. After finding that I
was a quart low, I went into the store to buy some. Jesus commanded His disciples, which I am, in
Matthew 28:19-20 to, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even unto the
end of the world. Amen.” The Lord prompted me to speak to the woman behind
the counter about the scripture Hebrews 10:23, teaching her what He commanded
me, which reads, “Let us hold fast the confession of faith without wavering,
for he that promised is faithful.” I proceeded to tell her about how faithful
Jesus is when you do not waiver in your confessing to what he did for us, and
how being double minded will cause your faith not to work in what you are
believing God for. She responded as though she was receiving what I was saying to her.
After this, I went outside, put the oil in my truck and then
placed the gas pump back in its position.
This particular pump would not give me a receipt and I felt the Lord
drawing me back into the station to get it. Once back inside I got in line and stood behind
someone, which blocked the view of the lady the Lord had me minister to, so that
she could not see me. As I stood there, I
realized that she was talking about what had just happened and she said, “I
wished people would just keep their mouth shut. People just need to keep what they believe
to themselves and if they don’t know what denomination you are from, they
shouldn’t say anything to anybody. He could
have just prayed for me, I would have accepted that, but not him preaching to
me.” Finally, the person in front of me
finished and moved out of the way. I
proceeded to ask her for a receipt and then told her that I was only doing what
Jesus told me to do. She started in
again but directly at me, and I said, “Praise the Lord” and left to go to a
meeting.
Meanwhile, the enemy kept trying to creep in and get me in
offense to this person. Well, Jesus has
taught me some things. He told me in
Matthew 5:44, “But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse
you, do good then them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and
persecute you.” At this point, I asked
Jesus how He wanted me to handle this situation, and He said, “Go to the bank
and draw out $200.00 and bless her with $100.00." You can
imagine the thoughts that tried to come against me after that, but I just
obeyed the Lord and got the money.
Back at the store, I got in line and I walked up to the counter and handed her an
envelope with $100.00 in it and said,”The Lord told me to bless you with this.” Then, I turned around and walked out of the
store and went back to work. I tell you
it felt so wonderful to bless her, and I was happy and full of joy to do
it. It is the goodness of God and His love
that brings men and women to repentance. (Romans 2:4)
Two weeks later the Lord sent me back in the store and she
was there. As soon as I got up to the
counter she apologized for the way she acted and thanked me for blessing her
with money that she really needed and she now understands what the Lord was
trying to say to her through me. This
woman will receive anything I say to her now Glory to God. Praise the Lord for His great love for us.
